Naps are the best. I don’t take them often, but this afternoon I decided to give it a try. I turned off the lights, but left the window shade up so that in the back of my mind I would know it was still daytime. That makes napping seem more like a luxury – because it’s not late, you don’t have to set the alarm, you’re just allowing yourself to steal a little shut-eye. I turned the fan on high, and slept. I had a good dream. I don’t even remember what it was, but it was warm. I think I only slept 20 minutes, but those minutes were delicious.
